MEET YOUR THERAPIST

Hi I’m Shireen!

My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I strive to create a space where you can show up authentically, without judgment or pressure. I integrate CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-informed approaches to help build insight, strengthen coping skills, and support meaningful, lasting change. For couples of all relationship structures and backgrounds, I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman-informed methods to foster deeper connection and healthier communication.

I work with adults and couples of diverse identities and backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community, navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, trauma-related concerns, life transitions, and the patterns that keep them feeling stuck.

Together, we explore communication, trust, emotional regulation, self-worth, and the underlying experiences that shape how you relate to yourself and others, approaching these experiences with curiosity rather than judgment.

I believe therapy is most effective when it feels like a genuine connection—one where you feel heard, understood, supported, and gently challenged. My role isn't to tell you who to be or have all the answers, but to walk alongside you as you develop greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and confidence in navigating life's challenges. You don't have to do it alone. Therapy can be a place to reconnect with yourself, make sense of your experiences, and move forward with greater clarity and intention.

My Background

I have background in Respiratory Therapy, where I spent 13 years working in high-acuity medical settings. That experience shaped how I show up in the therapy room—calm under pressure, present during difficult moments, and attentive to how stress and overwhelm affect both mind and body.
