MEET YOUR THERAPIST

Hi there! I’m Alysha Lesshafft, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Natural Science Pathway from the University of Louisville and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands.

I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, emotional regulation, behavior modification, and everyday stressors. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized. While person-centered therapy is the foundation of my work, I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based practices, and other evidence-based approaches to support each client’s unique needs. My background in behavior analysis has strengthened my understanding of emotional development, behavior, and practical coping skills.

I plan to create an environment that feels safe, supportive, and encourages self-reflection and exploration. My goal is to help clients build self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and feel empowered to navigate life with greater confidence and balance.

More About Me!

Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, participating in book clubs, crocheting, and exploring new experiences. I value creativity, mindfulness, and meaningful connection, and I believe self-care plays an important role in overall well-being.

Small mindful moments create meaningful change.

I look forward to working with you.
