Hi, my name is Ansle Bradley Combs IV, but I go by CJ. I am a Licensed Professional Art Therapist

Associate from Louisville, Kentucky, born and raised. I graduated from the University of Louisville with my Bachelor’s in Art and proceeded to complete my Master’s in Art Therapy. Through my experience in art, I discovered how creativity can be a powerful tool for self-understanding and emotional healing. This inspired me to pursue art therapy.

What is Art Therapy? I’m glad you asked! Art therapy combines active art-making, creative processes, psychological theory, and human experience within a therapeutic relationship to enrich the lives of individuals, families, and communities. Sometimes words can’t fully express what we’re going through, and that’s where art steps in. Art is a universal language, helping to communicate and process emotions that may be difficult to put into words. Clients also have the option to participate in art therapy, as it is optional, and no experience is required.

My Background:

I have experience working with individuals ages 12–40 in academic settings, providing support through creative expression, emotional regulation, and self-exploration. During my training, I worked with clients navigating anxiety, depression, identity development, and life transitions. My approach is

person-centered, integrating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and other expressive modalities to meet each client where they are.

I am passionate about continuing to grow alongside my clients, creating a safe, compassionate, and creative space where healing and self-discovery can unfold. Outside of therapy, I find inspiration in art, nature, poetry, and music, all of which remind me of the creativity and resilience within

each of us. I believe everyone deserves both an ear to be heard and an eye to be seen. My goal as a therapist is to offer that space, ensuring each client feels safe, seen, and supported as we navigate life’s challenges together.

I look forward to walking with you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery.
